What is a diaper cake?
When friends ask me what I have been up to lately, I tell them I make diaper cakes. The next question is always, What's a diaper cake? A diaper cake is layers of diapers, carefully assembled to make it look like a cake. NappyCakes are wrapped in matching receiving blankets to keep it together and some contain other newborn baby treats like bath essentials, baby bibs, soothers, or booties to name a few. I keep finding out though that even when I keep the explanation simple, the idea seems to be hard to grasp to those who haven't seen one. The best way to describe a diaper cake to those who have no idea what they are is by showing them a picture of one. Sometimes though, my cakes are often mistaken as the edible kind.
Do you make diaper cakes that are larger than 3-tiers?
Yes. This will be considered as a personalized or custom order. I am pretty flexible when taking orders from my customers. It's part of my commitment to assist you in giving the best baby shower gift that will help make the new mom feel how special she and her new baby means to you.
If I want a different character theme for my NappyCake order that isn't in your gallery, can you do that for me?
Yes. This is subject to availability. I will try my best to secure items with the character theme that you request and will let you know if I find them. Again, this will be considered as a personalized or custom order.
Can the diapers be used by the new baby?
Absolutely. All diapers used to put a NappyCake together are usable. Disassembling the cake is easy. You just have to unwrap the receiving blanket from each layer and you will find that the diapers are intact.
Do I pay GST/PST?
As of the moment, No. Canada Revenue Agency requires charging PST/GST for businesses that are a little larger than mine. Be aware though that if am no longer classified under small business, as I am now, I will have to charge PST and GST to your purchase.
